Thirteen years ago I was rescued by a one and half year old White German Shepherd/Golden Labrador Retriever named Genna.
It is through a very kind person, Tina Ferner, {who I thank every day,} who asked if I could watch this rescue dog for a while? Of course I said I would. After maybe an hour, it didn’t take me long to realize that after living in 3 different houses before she was even 2 years old, Genna had finally found her true home. Thank you Tina for giving me the opportunity to adopt my girl.
Today Genna crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She is at peace now. I miss her so. I thank her so.
Before she passed, I asked her to send me a sign after she was gone. Signs are all around us, everywhere for everyone. The sign Genna sent me was truly phenomenal! While I was working on my website in my office just after putting her to rest at the vet’s office, I knew this weeks’ website would be dedicated to Genna. While working on my website, I became reflective, remembering the many wonderful trips together. All the fun times we had together. All the wonderful moments together.
Then I heard a knocking on the front door. I wasn’t sure if I really heard the knocking on my door, or if it was just my imagination. But sure enough I heard it again. Wiping away my tears, I got up from my desk and left the office to see who it was. There at the front door was young Miss Hillary and Erica her Mom, wonderful and kind neighbors who live a couple of streets over. Genna and I always walked by their house, and of course Genna loved Erica, Hillary, Jeff and Jeffrey, and they loved her!
“Hi Hilary, how are you?” Hilary looked up at me with this great smile and said, “I made a friendship bracelet for you in Gennas’ colors.”
Talk about a Sign, I couldn’t believe it. Lo and Behold here was Hilary giving me a friendship bracelet in Gennas’ colors!
Thank You Hillary and Erica!
You Guys Are The Best!
I will always where this bracelet in remembrance of my girl.
Thank you Genna for the sign you sent me, thank you for all your love, comfort and kindness you brought my way. Thank you for being my family. You are all I really have. Thank You So Much For Everything!
You were always there for me. Always!
I Love You.
We will be together again, Somehow, Someway, Somewhere, Someday Soon.
We will know when that moment will be, we will hug each other, cry with each other, laugh with each other.
We will know that we are back together again!
Rest In Peace my Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful Girl. Rest In Peace.
I love you.
