Our Homeless Yogis class on August 22 will feature a special program devoted to Ayurveda – the ancient teaching that helps students reach a state of well-being through the balance of the physical body, the senses, psyche and the spirit.

Joining Yoga Mike that day is Anata Ripa Ajmera, author of the bestselling book The Ayurveda Way: 108 Practices from the World’s Oldest Healing System for Better Sleep, Less Stress, Optimal Digestion and More.

Starting at our regular 11 am time at Mercy Sunforest Court, Mike will take students through a 30 minute yoga practice, followed by an informal lecture by Anata Ripa Ajmera.  Please feel free to bring guests.  (The day will be free for all, and pre-paid Tuesday yogis will get an extra day added on to their September classes.)

Anata has taught yoga at Stanford University, New York University, San Francisco State University and the invitation-only Social innovation Summit for Fortune 500 executives, government leaders and social entrepreneurs.  Her books have been featured on Fox News and in the Reader’s Digest, Mother Earth, the Huffington Post and other national media.

This is one of just three presentations by the speaker in our area so it’s a rare opportunity to learn about this traditional healing practice that many call “the knowledge of longevity.”  We look forward to seeing you then.
